Adam's Adventures The King of things 

On Friday the seniors went to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. I was in a group with Trav, Tess, Cooper M, Cooper T, Chloe and Jamie. We did gold panning and I found a tiny speck of gold. We did bowling and I got a strike. We went on a tour into an underground mine and there was lot’s of mining equipment as well. We watched a video of a miner who struck a giant nugget of gold. Everybody bought lollies at the lolly shop like lollipops, raspberry drops, toffee apples and much more. We looked in old shops, the cinema, the chemist and the bank and also old canvas tents that people used to live in back in the days of mining and the gold rush. We dressed up in old fashioned clothes and learnt about the first ship with a metal hull, sails and a motor that runs on steam. The name of the ship was called the Great Britain. We watched the gold poring and it was amazing to see such a bright light of gold being poured into an ingot shape.

What is a mandala?
A mandala is a relaxing piece of artwork without any limits.
Mandalas are meant to be done in complete silence and they help you relax and stay calm.
When were they first created?
Mandalas were created in the 4th Century by the Buddhism religion and now they are produced pretty much all around the world.

On the 3rd of December in 1858, one of the most dramatic things happened in Australia’s history. Miners had to pay 5 pounds so the could continue digging in the mines. Miners needed licenses so they could dig and if they were found mining without it then they would be punished by being tied to a log until they could pay their license of which is a bit futile.

But the miners came back for revenge and burnt their licenses. They put up a flag with a blue background, the Southern cross and the Five Stars. The miners built a stockade and their was a battle against the soldiers. 22 miners died and 8 soldiers were sadly killed. The Eureka Stockade had actually caught fire and now the flag is displayed at an art gallery in Ballarat.

On Friday the 17th of July we played in the footy finals against Jells Park PS and Syndal South PS. Sadly we lost all of our games and Jells Park got into the finals. It was a very wet day but we all played very well. We played on the field where Oakleigh Chargers play. I was very annoyed with one of the teams but it was fun watching the finals in the end.

On the holidays I went to San Remo for 2 nights and we stayed at Silverwaters Resort. We went to the Moto GP Circuit and we checked out Amazin Things with all the fun games and mind illusions. We drove to the beach and it was FREEZING!

Me and one of my friends had a sleepover and we played PS3. We played COD Black Ops II and Gta 5 Online.

We drove up to Skipton for the day on Sunday and saw some of our friends. We went out for lunch at the art gallery and I had a GIANT ice-cream Sunday.

How might you stop?
I will try and stop refugees being at war and keep hobos out of poverty because when I go into the city I see hobo walking around everywhere.I also want to help refugees and take action of something.

What might you think more about?
I would try and think about respecting others peoples livings and culture and knowing why people have been in poverty from wars, natural disasters and persecution. I want to know how poverty and refugee issues occur these days.

Why might you start?
I might try and start taking action to help other people in a good way and I could try and raise money by creating a stand and donating the money to Caritas, Vinnies, Salvation Army and RSPCA. I will sell foods and fresh drinks at a stall.

Commas are used for adding extra nouns into a sentence

Nouns are a object or an Item
E.G. I saw the CAR before.
Apostrophes are used for plural sentences or words
E.G. that’s Dylan’s pencil.
Talking marks a used for sentences or narratives when a living thing is speaking
E.G. “Hey can you please help me do this?”
Full stops are used for ending a sentence when you’ve finished saying it
E.G. It was a nice day.

I woke up at 3:00 in the morning to get to the airport. We were all packed and ready to leave. It was 6:00 when we got there so we had breakfast at a mini cafe. We walked outside to our flight on Jetstar. It was a long time until the plane reversed out slowly. It sped down the runway and started getting airborne. Soon after 3 or 4 hours we arrived in Cairns airport and the time was 8:00 in the morning. we found our hire car and it was the new commodore with a silver paint job. We looked around palm cove and had brunch at a beach side cafe. We drove to Port Douglas and it took about half an hour. We finally got to Macrossan Street (main road). It was about 32 degrees so we went to check out our hotel. It was called Cayman Villas. It had a beautiful pool and spa and Hannah and I shared a room.
